Dawn Road's final concert took place at Hanover University on July 7, 1973. The band performed twice - once during the afternoon in the ‘Lichthof’ as seen in the picture above - and at night outside on the balcony. The reaction to the first show was somewhat muted - the hall - though beautiful - was acoustically completely unsuited for a loud rock band. The evening - and last ever appearance - of Dawn Road was a different affair, however; it was to be their farewell gig (although no one
knew this at the time) and concluded with a rapturous reception by the audience.
