At the end of August the newly formed Electric Sun went to rehearse
in a little village,Schnaid, in Bavaria, where Monika’s brother, Klaus-Peter Dannemann, owned a large discotheque, "Gypsy’s". It had, in fact, been here that Scorpions rehearsed for three days for their Japanese tour in April earlier that year and where they had played their last ever full gig in Europe together. Klaus-Peter was later to become Uli’s manager for some time.

Electric Sun had further rehearsals at a friend’s place near Hanover the following month (pictured above) before leaving for London at the end of October. After a further brief set of rehearsals they went into Scorpio Sound Studio at Tottenham Court Road, a studio which no longer exists today. The band started to record there, but Uli was not at all satisfied with the sound they were getting. He disliked the sound of the Cadac mixing console and particularly the sound of the room. There was far too little sonic ambience for what he was trying to achieve.
