Jimi Hendrix was undoubtedly Uli’s greatest influence in his formative years. Because of his deep understanding of Jimi’s music and about the great man’s message, over the years Uli has frequently been consulted as an authority regarding Jimi as well as having been invited to take part in a variety of concerts to pay homage to Jimi’s music.
What follows is a list of those projects including the stories behind them. In all these appearances U.J.R. consistently strove to concentrate on the lesser known, often deeper and musically more challenging aspects of Jimi’s legacy and to find ways finding new or better angles in performing them.
