THE SCORPIONS YEARS
Uli Jon Roth always regarded his 5 formative years as lead guitarist in Germany’s No1 band as his apprenticeship regarding the music business. During his tenure the band went from strength to strength, both musically, as well as in terms of climbing the ladder of success. Progress was steady and the band improved with each consecutive album and with each tour, of which there were many.
Uli always looks back fondly to his days with the ‘Scorps’, but in his final year with them he grew increasingly dissatisfied with the path the band was embarking on. He felt it was high time to move on in order to pursue own his musical destiny.
