Monika also had a strong gift for poetry.
In 1977 she wrote the lyrics to one of the most important songs of the Scorpions -“We’ll Burn The Sky”. The band is still frequently performing the song today, recently even with orchestra.
Uli Jon Roth also performed it again for the first time since
“Tokyo Tapes” on the occasion of his return to Japan in 2001.
The song was then sung by Tommy Heart and also
featured guest guitarist Kyoji Yamamoto.

Monika wrote an album’s worth of lyrics after Jimi’s death, which she was also singing - above is a promo shot taken in London, in 1973.
