True art - meaning art on a very high and pure level - has the power to carry and express what the ancients have called that ‘divine spark’ as symbolized in Michelangelo’s famous fresco painting ‘God Creating Adam’ in the Sistine Chapel. Uli is convinced that some of the old masters in painting and music were indeed Messengers of God - not unlike the prophets of ancient times, but each carrying and emphasizing different aspects of the divine message. No one signifies this more-so, than the two great genius figures whose artistic vision embodied the very spirit of the Renaissance - Michelangelo - the archetypal artist - and his equally inspired counterpart, Leonardo... Uli draws a lot of inspiration from these artistic giants of the Renaissance and often cites them when asked about his heroes.
